Hot Rolled Steel Furnace Project

As part of the technical re-equipment of mill 2000, Stellar carried out

the sequential dismantling of two furnaces with walking beams, each

with a capacity of 280 tons/hour, followed by the construction of two

new ones, each with a capacity of 400 t/hour.

The contract was partially concluded on EPC terms: the supply of

furnaces was carried out by the French supplier Fives Stein, while

Stellar carried out the full range of QMS, including the development of

working documentation and the purchase of materials.

Also, as part of the reconstruction, it was planned to stop production

for major repairs, during which Stellar replaced the loading/unloading

rollers, working around the clock and completing the work in 5 days.

Work on the entire facility was carried out in two shifts under operating

production conditions and was completed 40 days ahead of schedule.
